Summer Gas Prices Expected to Drop

Albuquerque Express: The high gas prices are expected to fall just before the summer driving season in the United States. Analysts have suggested a drop of nearly 50 cents could be imminent.

Petrol prices have rocketed in the US since January, going up nearly a dollar in some places. At one stage there were 44 straight days of increases.

The national average over the past week stopped just before it reached $4 a gallon. It has now gone back to around $3.95 and a steady decline is expected to continue. Last year, gas stations throughout the country were charging just $3 a gallon.
