Oregon Man Mistakes Police Station for Casino

Casino?
KETV: An Oregon man's trip to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln police station front desk did not score him the blackjack chips he was seeking, but did land him in a detox cell for a night.

The 21-year-old man wandered into the station Saturday night after the Nebraska game against Washington, approached the front desk and asked for blackjack chips, thinking he was in a casino.

Staff at the front desk told the man they didn't have any chips.

When he returned to the station a few minutes later, officers administered a blood alcohol test, which registered at .273. Police then decided to place him into protective custody. A police sergeant said the man had not committed a crime and was not arrested.
