CNNGO: If you're the type of person who uses long-haul flights to pay back your sleep debt, you may want to think twice about flying Singapore Airlines.
After announcing late last year plans to roll-out a full suite of in-flight Wi-Fi Internet and communications services (due to be completed in 2011), the airline has now added one more function: the 'e-Magazine.'
The new feature -- a world first -- offers a selection of 20 international titles including The Economist, Bloomberg Businessweek, Wall Street Journal Magazine, Prestige and Elle. The titles will be loaded onto the airline's entertainment system, which can display the pages in high resolution on the seatback display.
This e-Magazine feature will be available first on its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER fleets and progressively on the airline’s Airbus A330-300 and A340-500 planes.
In the future, the airline will extend this feature to include e-newspapers, e-books, as well as a wider selection of international and local magazines.
