Cheetah Hunt is different from other coasters in that instead of using gravity to propel the ride, magnetic force will be used at three different launch points along the 4,429 feet of track. Launch point 1 will propel riders to 30 mph, launch point 2 to 60 mph and launch point 3 to 40 mph. The coaster stays close to the ground to give guests the experience of a cheetah sprinting across the plains.
The ride's companion attraction, Cheetah Run, will feature about a dozen live cheetahs, a 250-foot straightaway for them to run, and observation windows so visitors can watch.
