Are you planning a May wedding and want to save some money? Sign up for Battle of the Beach Brides at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel on Sunday, May 15, 2011.
Participants will compete in a number of events including an obstacle course, bouquet toss and a tug-of-war. The grand prize winner will receive a 75 person deam wedding including event space at the property, a wedding cake, a food and beverage package with hors d'oeuvres, a four-course sit-down dinner and a five hour open bar.
There will be individual prizes for each competition such as a Michelle Lawson Photo Package, Ana Paz custom wedding cake, Dalsimer's Wedding day floral package, Jimmy Jam full DJ and lighting package for the big day. Brides-to-be can win one prize or win them all.
There will also be side games for spectators, the bridal party and eliminated brides like a "bridal party dance off," "best proposal story" and "most team spirit." Winners of those events will receive free honeymoons and the chance for Florida Bride Magazine to cover and publish one bride's wedding.
Jimmy Jam from Jimmy Jam Productions is hosting the event. Brides need to check in Sunday, May 15, 2011, at 10 a.m. The battle will start promptly at 11 a.m. with 50 brides competing.
