WA Launches 'Share Your Washington' Campaign

The Washington state tourism office is encouraging residents to invite out-of-state friends and family to visit as part of their "Share Your Washington" effort. The campaign, launched Monday, has a website   http://www.shareyourwashington.com where residents can send email postcards of different tourist spots statewide to entice visitors.

To encourage participation, every postcard sent from the website will qualify as an entry for a grand prize of unlimited air travel from Alaska Airlines for one year and two round-trip tickets to any Alaska Airlines destination. The winner will be chosen June 16, the day after the end of the campaign.

"It's a way for our residents, Washingtonians, to help bolster the economy," said John Cooper, president and CEO of the Yakima Valley Visitors and Convention Bureau.
