Maybe Not Such a Good Value After All

The city of Arnold, Missouri, is delivering an ultimatum to one of its newest hotels.

Even though the Value Place Hotel has been open only 22 months, police have been called here 201 times for drug overdoses, prostitution, child pornography, stealing, assault, drug sales, drug manufacturing, rape, burglary and other felonious actions The city says it has been complaining to the management for months, but nothing has changed.

So on Friday the city sent a letter to the hotel's corporate office in Wichita giving it until April 15th to present a solution or be forcibly closed.

Value Place president David Redfern is flying into town on Monday for a face-to-face meeting with Arnold city officials.
